× A research has been done to investigate the effect of spinning time of 9 % polystyrene thin film fabricated by spin coating method. The time of fabrication was varied at 0.5 minutes, 1 minutes, 1.5 minutes, 2 minutes, 2.5 minutes, 3 minutes, and 3.5 minutes. In this research, the wave guides was characterized by using prism coupling methods. By neglecting fabrication factors such as experiment technique, initial thickness, and impurity, the analys showed that the number of mode and film thickness were not dependent on spinning time.
