The not-on-tobacco program is an evidence-based teen smoking cessation program adopted by the American
Lung Association (ALA). The purpose is to describe the model of dissemination include the elements and
stages of models designed to expand the range of smoking cessation interventions in teen smoking.
Methodology: in the form of a literature review, applying the theory of diffusion innovation, social cognitive
theory, and social marketing. Results: Elements of dissemination model include eight, namely: infrastructure,
implementers, task accountability, training, critical assessment:, ntervention delivery, incentives, and
communications. Phases of dissemination models consists of nine, namely establish major partners and
evaluators, review and tailor programmatic needs, establish infrastructure, promote intervention program,
conduct training, conduct 3 month check-in, deliver intervention, conduct 6 month check-in, and conduct
facilitator 12 month check-in. Conclusion. The nine-phase model has a sound theoretical foundation utilizing
critical constructs in intervention diffusion, health behavior, and social marketing. Suggestion: nine-phase
model can be applied to the dissemination of teen smoking cessation program.
