It is commonly stated that Indonesian scientific texts have such characteristics as simple, concise, objective, and logic. However, from the point of view of linguistics, no adequate empirical evidence has been given to define and explain those characteristics. Moreover, there are still many more characteristics that need to be linguistically clarified.
