Character building can be done based on local wisdom. Java is a region that has a lot of local values as the basis of character education. Unfortunately not many people know the values of the local culture that can be found in the Java community. Civics teacher can choose the values of local wisdom relevant to Civics values as part of civic dispositions development. The use of local values is very effective because Indonesia is a multicultural society which is more receptive to the values of the people themselves rather than values that come from the outside.
