A movie adaptation from novel is quite popular these days. It is rather easy for the director to take the story from the book rather than write the original script. Maze Runner is one of a book that gets its movie adaptation in 2014. This thesis studies about ecranisation process in the adaptation of Maze Runner film from the book. This research objective is to find the Reduction, Addition, and Modification that occur in this adaptation process. By applying the ecranisation theory by Pamusuk Eneste, this research found that there are several Reduction, Addition, and Modification occurred in the adaptation process from the novel into the movie. The researcher found that this differences between the novel and the movie is did not change the main point of the story.
