AbstrakThis internship report was written based on the internship activites at Balai Bahasa Jawa Tengah for a month started from January 15, 2018 until February 15, 2018. The objectives of this report were to report the internship activity at Balai Bahasa Jawa Tengah, analyze the problem during translating, and to explain the problem solving. The main activity during internship was translating article journals from English language into Indonesian Language and vice versa.I applied three steps to  translating the journal article. The steps were analysing, transferring, and restructuring. In analysing steps, I read the whole text to understand the main idea of the text. In transferring step, I transfer the meaning from source language into target language. In the restructuring step, I made the text feel and sound natural in target culture. The other internship activity beside translating was writing broadcasting script for radio program. The radio names Indonesian Radio (RRI/Radio Republik Indonesia). The difficulties during translation were translating new words, figurative language, and cultural terminology. The strategies to solve the problem were literal translation strategies and generalization strategies. The problem solving were opening online and printed dictionary, looking for the other references, discussing with internship partner, and asking the supervisor.
