This research is conducted to find out the kinds of complaining strategies expressed the characters  in  the movie  entitled  Enchanted.  The research  also  discovers  why each  type of complaining strategies are expressed by the characters. This research uses pragmatics approach and implements descriptive qualitative research that applies purposive sampling technique. The data in this research are taken from the dialogues in  Enchanted  movie  that  contain  complaining  strategies.  There  are  31  data  containing complaining strategies found in the movie. Those data are classified by using Trosborg’s complaining  classification. The results of the research show that there are three main types of complaining strategies which expressed by the characters in the  Enchanted movie, namely No Explicit Reproach, Expression of Disapproval, Accusation, and Blame strategy. The first strategy called No Explicit Reproach consists of hint strategy, whether Expression of Annoyance and Disapproval consist of annoyance strategy, consequence strategy. Accusation consist of   indirect accusation strategy, direct accusation strategy, and the last strategy called Blame consist of sub-category namely modified blame strategy, explicit condemnation of the accused’s action strategy and the last is explicit condemnation of the accused’s person. The second finding reveals that the characters of the film entitled “Enchanted” are mostly used Category III – Strategy 5 (Direct Accusation) when expressing their comlpain. It can be seen from the prescentage of the distribution of Complaining Expression; the Complaining Strategy 4 (Direct Accusation) has the highest precentage among other categories and strategies (38.70%), followed by the use of Strategy 2 (Annoyance) (22.58%), Strategy 1 (Hint) (16.12%), Strategy 5 (Indirect Accusation) (6.45%) as well as Strategy 7 (ECAA) (6.45%). Meanwhile, Most of the complaining acts are employed between the character who has the same power and both in a close-open relationship The precentage of complaining expression  in same power and low distance (-P –D) is 41.93%, taken from the combination of (-P –D) in the cline of Movie Structure Exposition, Rising Action, Climax, Falling Action to Denoument
