The objective of this report is to give information about (1) the activities I did during the internship program at Balai Bahasa Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta for a month from February 1st to February 28th; (2) the problems I faced in translating an international journal and (3) the ways I solved the problems. During the internship program, I got one main activity and three additional activities. The main activity was translating an international journal from English into Indonesian. The journal I translated contains how political and language identities give impact for an ethnic conflict. I also did three additional activities. The first was writing Radio Republik Indonesia broadcast script. The second was arranging word entries for Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia. The third was writing scientific popular article. The problems I met during the translation process were translating word ‘where’, pronoun, language terms, word repetition, and complex sentences. I did many ways to solve the problems. The ways were (1) using online and offline dictionary (2) discovering the reference (3) asking for suggestion and guidance from my internship supervisor in Balai Bahasa Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta.
