This report is written based on the internship program in Department of Cultural
and Tourism in Malang City from 21th January - 21th February 2019. The purpose of
this report are to explain the writer’s activities during the internship program and the
obstacles and solution faced by the writer during the internship program.
The projects of this program are (1) Translating Malang Menyapa Website Content and (2) Translating Tourism Brochure of Malang. During translating the website content and brochure, there were three processes of translation applied. The processes were analyzing, transferring, and restructuring.
There were some difficulties related to local terms or words, word choices, and grammatical errors in translating process. The solution to solve those problems through searching for some references on the internet, opening the dictionaries to find the equal meaning, and discussing the difficulties with internship partners and supervisor are also described.
