ABSTRAK
This final report was written based on the internship that I did on 29th January to 1st March at Keris Nusantara Museum Surakarta. I worked for six days in a week starts from 09.00 – 16.00 on Tuesday to Sunday, except on Friday, the work starts from 08.30 – 11.00. The objectives of this report are to describe the process of translating a storyline and creating a promotional brochure at Keris Nusantara Museum. I applied three steps to translate all of my translation works: 1) analyzing source text, 2) transferring the messages, and 3) restructuring. I highlighted some points which were important in my brochure such as the use of adjective, the use of tenses, and the eyecatching design. When translating, I had some problems dealing with translating cultural terms, cultural phrase, ambiguous ST phrase, and difficult terms. To solve those problems, I tried to find the definition of words by searching on the online dictionary such as merriam-webster, Cambridge online dictionary, and KBBI (Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia). I also looked for parallel text on the internet and some references on cultural books.
