This internship report was written based on my internship activities as an administration Staff at Apotek Badan Sehat for a month, started from August 1st to September 2nd, 2016. This report discusses the activities during the internship, the processes of translating Glucophage brochure, the problems faced during translating Glucophage brochure, and the ways to solve those problems.

I used some steps before translating the brochure. First, I read the whole brochure for many times. Second, I wrote down the difficult words. Third, I looked for the information of the difficult word, especially the medical terms. Fourth, I started translating the brochure. After the translation was done, I gave my translation to the pharmacist and the employees to be corrected.

I found some problems during translating the brochure; the problems are unfamiliar medical terms, and unfamiliar codes, i.e. film-coated tablet, biguanide, intracellular, glucose transporters (GLUTs), events, C(max), negligible, saturable, gastrointestinal, lactic acidosis, NSAID, adolescent, ACE Inhibitors, metformin is excreted into milk in lactating rats. I looked for some reliable sources and use some techniques in translating to minimize the problems, i.e. literal translation, pure borrowing, naturalized borrowing, transposition, and addition.
