× ABSTRAK This experiment was a field experiment held in Tambakromo Village, sub district of Geneng, the regency of Ngawi on March until August 2005. The objectives of this experiment was to know the effect of Sipramin fertilizer on the content of Cd in the soil and the rice plants in the second planting season. Sipramin is a dark brown liquid which come from the by-product of flavouring (monosodium glutamate/MSG). The experimental design of this experiment was Randomized Completely Block Design with one factor. The factor is consist of 19 kind of treatment, that is : P1 (Amina Sipramin 2000 l.ha-1 dosage), P2 (Amina Sipramin 4000 l.ha-1 dosage), P3 (Amina Sipramin 2000 l.ha-1 dosage added NPK fertilizer), P4 (Amina Sipramin 2000 l.ha-1 dosage added with PK fertilizer), P5 (Amina Sipramin 4000 l.ha-1 dosage added PK fertilizer), P6 (Bagitani Sipramin 2000 l.ha-1 dosage), P7 (Bagitani Sipramin 4000 l.ha-1 dosage), P8 (Bagitani Sipramin 2000 l.ha-1 dosage added NPK fertilizer), P9 (Bagitani Sipramin 2000 l.ha-1 dosage added PK fertilizer), P10 (Bagitani Sipramin 4000 l.ha-1 dosage added PK fertilizer), P11 (Orgami Sipramin 2000 l.ha-1 dosage), P12 (Orgami Sipramin 4000 l.ha-1 dosage), P13 (Orgami Sipramin 2000 l.ha-1 dosage added NPK fertilizer), P14 (Orgami Sipramin 2000 l.ha-1 dosage added PK fertilizer), P15 (Orgami Sipramin 4000 l.ha-1 dosage added PK fertilizer), P16 (Saritana Sipramin 2000 l.ha-1 dosage), P17 (Saritana Sipramin 4000 l.ha-1 dosage), P18 (Saritana Sipramin 2000 l.ha-1 dosage added NPK fertilizer), P19 (Saritana Sipramin 2000 l.ha-1 dosage added PK fertilizer), P20 (Saritana Sipramin 4000 l.ha-1 dosage added PK fertilizer). F-test or Kruskal-Wallis test 1% and 5% was used to know the effect of treatment on variable. Duncan multiple range test 5% is used to comparing the treatment. For finding out the relation between primary dependent variable and secondary dependent one it is used correlation test. The result of this experiment showed that the use of Sipramin fertilizer gave non significantly effect on the Cd content of soil, and also in the rice. Available Cd in the control of the second planting season was increase until 78.80% compared with first planting season, while it increased 73,55% in its highest usage of Cd content compared with the last planting season. The average percentage of cracked rice per a piece of land at the given time of Sipramin on second planting season decreased 58.11% if it was compared with first planting season.
