ABSTRAK

Javanese literary works appreciation in Vocational High Schools needs the learning material with the educational value. The Lara-Lapane Kaum Republikwritten by Suparto Brata have a moral value.The objectives of this research were to describe and explain: (1) the structural elements in the Lara-Lapane Kaum Republikwritten by Suparto Brata; (2) the social life in the Lara-Lapane Kaum Republikwritten by Suparto Brata; (3) the educational value in the Lara-Lapane Kaum Republikwritten by Suparto Brata; (4) the relevance of the Lara Lapane Kaum Republikwritten by Suparto Brata to the Javanese literary appreciation in Vocational High School. This study was qualitative descriptive research with the sociological approach to literary. Data were collected from documents and informants. The intended document was the Lara-Lapane Kaum Republikwritten by Suparto Brata. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data were collected through document analysis and interview.Later on, data were validated using theory triangulation and data triangulation. Lastly, data were analyzed using flow analysis techniques.

Based on the research results, it can be concluded that: (1) the structural elements in the Lara-Lapane Kaum Republikwritten by Suparto Brata are: themes, plot, background, character and characterization, point of view, mandate, and language style; (2 the social lives in the Lara-Lapane Kaum Republikwritten by Suparto Brata include: language, work, education, politics, religion, and beliefs, place of residence, culture, and society; (3) the educational value in the Lara-Lapane Kaum Republik written by Suparto Brata comprises: religiosity, sociality, gender, justice, democracy, honesty, independence, the fighting power, responsibility, and respect for the natural environment, and (4) the Lara-Lapane Kaum Republik written by Suparto Brata is relevant to the learning materials of the Javanese literary works appreciation in Vocational High Schools based on Basic Competencies 3.2 of Curriculum 2013
