ABSTRACT

This report is written based on the internship program in Museum Penerangan, Jakarta from January 20 until March 20, 2020. The purpose of this report is to explain the activities during the internship program, the obstacles, and the strategies to overcome the problems. The activities of this program are (1) translating the caption in the museum, (2) translating the website of the museum, and (3) creating bilingual brochure for the museum. Further, there are three steps to translate the text: (1) analyzing, (2) transferring, and (3) restructuring. The obstacles during the internship were (1) some unfamiliar words, (2) understanding message from the source text, and (3) the process when making brochure such as the illustration, lay out, and color. The strategies to solve the problems were (1) looking for a dictionary and internet related to the translation, (2) asking the staff related to the design.
