ABSTRACT

This report is writen based on internship program at PT. Solusi Bahasa Internasional (Tranlexi), Sleman, Special Region of Yogyakarta during two months, from January 27, 2020 to March 20, 2020. The aims of this internship report are to describe the internship activities in PT. Solusi Bahasa Internasional (Translexi), to explain the problems faced when translating, to explain the strategies to overcome the problems, and to the evaluate the translation results with supervisor to improve the translation quality.
This report shows the internship activities including translating narrative text, financial articles from MDRT, a poem, and a song. For subtitling activity, I made one video transcription and translated subtitles for MDRT’s promotion videos.
This report also proves that I have to use some strategies when translating the text, especially articles and song. I must have a good sense of language when translating the texts and subtitles. During the internship program, I translated nine texts, translated four subtitles, and made one video transcription.
