ABSTRACT

This final report is written based on the internship activity implemented in PT STAR Software Indonesia, started from January 20 until March 13, 2020. The objective of this final report is to describe the activities during the internship period. The writer’s main activity is translating various patent, legal and medical documents from English into Indonesian. In an effort to accomplish every translation project, the writer applied some translation steps, including analyzing, transferring and restructuring.
Meanwhile, there were several problems that appeared during the internship activity. Those problems were dealing with the difficult terms, poor quality of translation tool’s
display and incomplete features of translation tools. In order to overcome the problems, the writer conducted more research and utilized other tools to support translation activity. Eventually, the writer asked for suggestions from the supervisor, project manager and his internship partners by having a discussion session to settle every problem.
