ABSTRACT

The subject of this report is the explanation of my activities during my internship in the Department of Tourism and Culture of Gunungkidul Regency that has been taken place from the 6th of January, 2020 to the 8th of April, 2020. This report contains the description of the two main activities and several additional activities during the internship.
The main activities were writing and translating a tourism article entitled “The Hidden Waterfalls of Nglanggeran Ancient Volcano”. In writing activities, some processes needed to be carried out, namely prewriting, drafting, revising, and editing. Meanwhile, in translating activities, there were three processes called analyzing, transferring, and restructuring. During the activities, I faced some problems such as encountering
difficult words related to specific cultural terms.
In additional, the additional activities were brochure editing, tour guiding, and subtitling. The difficulties that I encountered during these activities were relatively similar with the previous activities such as difficult words related to specific terms of tourism, culture and sport. Therefore, I used the internet, online dictionaries, and asked helps from my colleagues to solve the problems.
