During the corona virus (Covid-19) outbreak, the teachers were required to do online class. This creates a problem with the non-millennial teachers who were assigned to alter their teaching practices. Despite technological constraints in the field, the researcher observed that the implementation of teaching English through online classroom in secondary school in Ngawi, East Java works well. Even though the entire English teachers were non-millennials the teaching and learning processes produced a meaningful learning experience both for the teachers and students.

The researcher conducted a case study by using humans as key instrument in the interviews to collect data. Total there were 5 non-millennial teachers and 31 students were involved in this study. Observation, interview, and closed-ended questionnaire were using to collect the data. This phenomenon calls for an in-depth investigation about how these non-millennial teachers implemented their online English teaching.

Once the data reach saturation, the researcher analyzed the data by creating data repository, expanding the codes, analyzing the coded data, and drawing conclusion. The findings revealed that the non-millennial teachers could enhance students’ progress through an online class of the English course due to their renewed performance and positive attitude towards online teaching and learning. Additionally, the students reported to feel more comfortable by learning virtually. They were also likely to grasp all the materials easily which was indicated by their well-accomplished submitted assignments.
