× ABSTRAK The research method was a descriptive one, that is, the problem solving method that is investigated by describing the subject or object of research currently based on the fact existing. The data employed was primary and secondary data. The primary data was obtained using interview and observation on the object studied. The secondary data was obtained from the book reference or other readings. The conclusion that can be inferred from the research is that PT. Solo Murni had applied the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System in all lines, particularly in each stage of production process according to the application scope. In applying, managing and developing the Quality Management System, PT. Solo Murni “KIKY” promotes the quality target and policy to improve the company’s productivity and to prioritize the customer’s satisfaction. The impact obtained from the application of ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System on the PT. Solo Murni’s production include the controlled data on company production, timely product production. Considering the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System applied by PT. Solo Murni, the writer recommends the company to improve the performance of production division constantly and continuously, particularly in the term of achieving the number of production product so that the timeliness and the number of product production reaches 100%. It is to keep the customer’s confidence to the company, to increase the company’s profit because of the decreased work of fulfilling the number of pending product. In addition, it is also to maintain the company’s achievement and image in local and international market. Keyword : The application of ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System
