Poverty is a problem that most developing countries want to solve, this is the Sustainable Development Goal (TPB) that is applied throughout the world. West Java Province will be the area with the highest number of poor people in Indonesia in 2020 with a total poor population of 3.9 million people. The purpose of this study is to examine poverty through the role of economic growth, the number of MSMEs, the Human Development Index (IPM) and the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT). This study uses panel data obtained from the website of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of West Java, and the analysis method of this study uses panel data analysis using the Fixed Effect Model. The results of the study found that economic growth and the Human Development Index (HDI) had a negative and significant effect on poverty, while the number of MSMEs and the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) had a positive and significant effect. The implication of this research is that it is hoped that the West Java government will pay more attention to MSME actors because it can be seen from the research results that MSMEs have not played a role in reducing poverty, paying attention to labor-intensive economic sectors, equity in development, and opening up employment opportunities.
