This internship report was written based on the internship program at Karst Geopark and Museum Wonogiri that is managed by Tourism Department of Wonogiri from January 11th, 2021 to March 10th, 2021. The goal of the internship was to implement the competence of translating and editing that I learnt during my studies in English Diploma Program. The objective of this final report is to describe and explain my activities and the problems during the eight weeks internship in Karst Geopark and Museum Wonogiri. I produced several tourism articles, created an information board, created a guidebook, posted some articles, produced a tourism video with Indonesian subtitle.
The article that I produced is intended to be uploaded on the government’s official website. Then, the Information board and the guidebook will be placed in one of the Tourism attractions in Wonogiri. The last thing that I made is tourism video of Karst Geopark and Museum Wonogiri, this video has been uploaded on the official YouTube account of Tourism Department of Wonogiri.
There are also several problems or obstacles that I faced during the internship period such as grammar mistakes, difficult words, unfamiliar words, and COVID19 pandemic. I did some ways to overcome the problem in translating such as finding the equivalent word, consulting with my internship supervisor, and I requested a special entrance letter from the head office of Tourism Department of Wonogiri to enter the Tourist attraction while the place is closed. So that my team and I can still enter the tourist attraction to do observation and some research.
