× ABSTRACT 2008. This final project report is based on the job training, which had been done in SDN Tepisari 01 Sukoharjo for about a month. This final project report is written to explain the English teaching and learning activities at SDN Tepisari 01 Sukoharjo. Before the English teaching and learning activities began, the writer used some procedures in order to make English teaching and learning run well. The procedures of activities are Warming Up consists of greeting, Brain Storming, Presentation and Explanation, Evaluation, Ending the lesson, and the Test to measure the student’s ability. Besides, the writer included some activities, such as playing games and singing song. Games can increase student’s motivation to learn more knowledge and songs can stimulate their desire in vocabularies. There are two problems which arose during the English teaching and learning activities. They were the problems of the students and the problems of the teacher. The problems of the students were memorizing the English Words, Spelling, Pronouncing and Writing English. Meanwhile the problems of the teacher were Uncooperative Students and The Limited Time and Facilities. To solve the problem of students in Memorizing the English Words, the writer asked them to write and read the English words for several times. In Spelling, the writer spelled the English words and the students repeated them. In Pronouncing, the writer read some words and the students should repeat them aloud. And then, in Writing English, the writer wrote some words on the blackboard and asks the student to copy them in their own book. To solve the problems of the teacher in Uncooperative Students, the writer gave the students some activities, such as games or songs to sing and the writer should keep eye contacts with the children. In the limited time and facilities, the writer should manage the time well, and the Headmaster should buy other additional English Books, Cassette, and Pictures.
