UJI STABILITAS FISIKA KIMIA DAN UJI  SUN PROTECTION FACTOR (SPF) LOTION TABIR SURYA DENGAN VARIASI KONSENTRASI AZELOGLICINA

INTISARI

Sinar UV dari matahari dapat menimbulkan efek merugikan bagi kesehatan kulit jika terpapar sinar matahari yang berlebihan. Tabir surya adalah kosmetik pelindung kulit yang bekerja dengan memantulkan atau menyerap sinar UV sehingga dapat menghindari efek berbahaya pada kulit. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk memformulasikan lotion dengan variasi azeloglicina serta uji sifat fisik dan kimia sediaan lotion. Lotion merupakan sediaan topikal yang mudah digunakan dan dapat menyebar merata pada kulit. Salah satu bahan yang memiliki manfaat sebagai tabir surya yaitu azeloglicina yang dapat menangkal radikal bebas dari paparan sinar UV. 

Lotion dibuat dalam 3 varian formula dengan perbedaan pada konsentrasi azeloglicina yang digunakan yaitu 0%; 5%; 10%. Sediaan dievaluasi dengan parameter pengujian berupa sifat fisik dan kimia yang meliputi uji organoleptis, uji homogenitas, uji daya lekat, uji daya sebar, uji viskositas, uji tipe emulsi, uji pH, pengukuran nilai SPF secara in vitro, serta cycling test. Analisa data dengan uji Two Way ANOVA dengan taraf kepercayaan 95%.

Hasil analisa menunjukkan bahwa variasi konsentrasi azeloglicina memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap sifat fisik lotion meliputi hasil uji viskositas, uji daya lekat, uji daya sebar, dan uji pH. Hasil pengujian SPF pada formula lotion sebesar 4,65 (F1); 6,78 (F2); dan 8,61 (F3) dan mengalami penurunan nilai SPF setelah dilakukan uji penyimpanan dengan variasi suhu. F3 merupakan formula terbaik berdasarkan hasil uji sifat fisik dan kimia.

PHYSICOCHEMICAL STABILITY TESTS AND SUNSCREEN LOTION (SPF) TESTS WITH VARIATION OF AZELOGLICINA CONCENTRATION

ABSTRACT

Ultraviolet rays from the sun may cause adverse effects on skin health, if it exposed by the sunlight excessively. Sunscreen is a photo-protective topical cosmetic products for the skin that absorbs or reflects some of the Sun’s UV reflection and thus helps prevent and protect against adverse effects on our skin. The purpose of this study was to formulate a lotion with azeloglicina variation and also physicochemical properties test of the lotion preparations. Lotions are topical preparations which easily-used and spread evenly on the skin. One of the ingredients which has the benefit as a sunscreen is as azeloglicina, it is able to ward free radicals off from the UV rays.

Lotion made in 3 variants of the formula with the differences in used of the azeloglicina concentration, it is 0% ; 5% ; 10%. The preparations evaluated with parameters test of the physicochemical, they are organoleptical tests, homogeneity tests, adhesion tests, dispertion tests, viscosity tests, emulsion type tests, pH tests, measurement of SPF values in vitro, and cycling tests. The Data Analyzed by the Two Way ANOVA tests with 95% confidence level.

The results of the analysis showed that the variation of azeloglicina concentration had given significant effect on the physical properties of lotion, include viscosity test results, adhesion tests, dispertion tests, pH tests. The results of SPF test on lotion formulas of 4.65 (F1); 6.78 (F2); and 8.61 (F3) and had value reduction of SPF value after the storage tests with temperature variation. F3 was the best formula based on the results of the physicochemical tests.
