ABSTRACT

This final project reports all of the activities during the internship at Balai Bahasa DIY conducted on March 1, 2022 until April 22, 2022. The main activity described on this report is translating articles. The translation theory that I refer to is the one from Nida and Taber (1982) . According to their theory, translation process is divided into three steps, analyzing, transferring, and restructuring. I applied these three steps during my translation activity on Balai Bahasa DIY. Therefore, I also implemented translation techniques or strategies from some experts during the translation process. The kind of problems that I faced during the translation problems are about terms/phrases, ineffective sentence structure, capital letter, and direct speech. I solved the problems by doing analyzing process to find the perfect solution.
