This study aims to: (1) study the effect of Thinglink in Socio-Scientific Issues-based Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (SSI-STEM) approach on the argumentation skills of ten graders; (2) identify the profile of students' argumentative skills in solving environmental pollution problems; (3)  know students’ responses during the application of SSI-STEM learning. This research is a Mixed Method Triangulation Design research. The subject of this study were students of Grade 10 Science SMA Negeri 1 Surakarta with a total of 72 students. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with control group and experimental group. Data collection techniques were carried out by pretest, posttest, and questionnaires. The data from the pretest and posttest measurement test results were analyzed using SPSS 20. The Thinglink-based SSI-STEM learning approach had a positive effect on argumentation skills of students. The results of hypothesis testing on the pretest and posttest values ??using paired t-test, the results obtained are sig. (2-tailed) 0.00 < 0>ThingLink-based SSI-STEM was actually had a significant effect on students' argumentation skills as evidenced by the experimental group had an average posttest score of 76.3, while the control group had a score of 54.8. Likewise, the results of the ancova test which showed a significance value of 0.00 < 0>ThingLink-based SSI-STEM, the level of students’ argumentation skills increases and had reach level 6, both in control group and experimental group, students had been able to provide scientifically valid, relevant and fully valid data and reasoning. The students’ argumentation skills had increased rapidly after being given ThingLink-based SSI-STEM learning because the problems raised were close to life and their ability to state claims, provide evidence, and describe reasoning had been trained during the learning process.
