This research aims to explain the portrayal of female masculine character in a Hollywood movie entitled “Enola Holmes” (2020). This research is descriptive qualitative research that uses semiotic analysis to gather information and to understand the explicit and implicit depiction of masculine female protagonist character in a specifically mentioned movie. The data collected are in the form of scenes and dialogues along with the supporting aspect of cinematic features such as camera angles, audio, gesture, and any other significant aspect that support specific signs and symbols related to the female masculinity by watching the movie repeatedly as much as needed to get the perspective. The selected data are the ones that contain deep and conscientious information related to Judith Halberstam’s Female Masculinity in Enola Holmes movie. The data are analyzed using Christian Metz’s Semiotic in Film. The results show that Enola is, indeed, a masculine female character due to the portrayal of female masculinity in Enola Holmes fits perfectly with Halberstam's idea of a female born person who is wearing, looking and/or behaving masculine through her depiction using three main masculinity characteristics mentioning courage, leadership skill, and power.
