July 2026.This study examines the representation of cultural behavior in Bahasa Inggris: English for Change, an EFL textbook for Grade 11 Senior High School published by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. Framed within Stuart Hall’s (1997) representation theory, the study employs a qualitative content analysis design to investigate which cultural behaviors are visually represented in the textbook. Its reveal the unbalanced distribution of each cultural behavior. Time orientation is overrepresented, while others are underrepresented or totally absent. The study contributes to critical EFL materials analysis and offers a replicable cultural behavior framework for future textbook evaluation in Indonesia and comparable contexts.
