The advancement of Virtual Reality (VR) technology offers significant potential as a simulation-based learning medium, including in the field of aquaculture, where learning processes have traditionally been theoretical. This research aims to develop AQUAVERSE, a VR-based educational medium designed to simulate aquaculture activities in an immersive and interactive environment. The primary focus of the development is the implementation of a fishing module as the main mechanism for obtaining fish, along with an inventory system for storing and managing the catches.The development of AQUAVERSE employs the Agile methodology, which emphasizes iterative and incremental development. The system was developed using the Unity Engine with the C# programming language and the XR Interaction Toolkit framework to support VR interactions. To evaluate software quality, four testing stages were conducted: Black Box Testing, Performance Testing, End User Testing, and Deployment Testing.The results of Black Box Testing demonstrated that all functional requirements of the fishing and inventory systems operated successfully without errors. Performance Testing showed that the application ran stably at an average of 119.5 FPS when operated on a desktop PC integrated with Meta Quest Link. However, Deployment Testing directly on the Meta Quest 2 VR headset using a standalone APK resulted in an average frame rate of 24.79 FPS, indicating that the application is more suitable for operation through a desktop PC. In terms of user acceptance, End User Testing involving 25 respondents produced a highly positive overall average score of 4.59 out of 5.00 (Strongly Agree). It can be concluded that AQUAVERSE successfully functions as an interactive and user-friendly VR educational medium for introducing aquaculture concepts.
