THE FARMERS PERCEPTION OF PADDY-LIVESTOCK INTEGRATION SYSTEM INNOVATIONS  AT DLINGO VILLAGE, MOJOSONGO DISTRICT, BOYOLALI REGENCY   ABSTRACT   The aims of this research were to describe the demographic characteristics of beef cattle farmers, describe farmers’ perceptions toward innovation characteristics of integrated paddy-livestock system (IPLS) and the correlation between farmers’ characteristics with their perception toward IPLS. This research has been conducted on December 2021 until February 2022 at Dlingo Village, Mojosongo District, Boyolali Regency, Central Java Province. Location and samples were determined by purposive sampling technique. Total respondents were 30 cattle farmers through accidental sampling method and data were obtained from questionnaire survey method. Data were analyzed with description analysis, validity test, reliability test, likert scale, class interval and Spearman rank correlation. The observation showed that majority of beef cattle farmers at Dlingo Village were small holdings farmers. Likert scale and class interval analysis showed that IPLS innovation characteristics generally at very good level. Farmers’ perception toward innovation characteristics partially showed that relative advantage, compatibilty, triability and observability at very good level, while complexity at good level. Spearman rank correlation analysis revealed that farmers’ demographic characteristics that is number of livestock have significant correlation in positive way with weak correlation level toward farmers perception (p<0,05;rs=0,382).The another demographic characteristics like gender, age, education, main occupation, crop experience, husbandry experience and cultivated land size had insignificant correlation with farmers perception. This research concluded that farmers who had more cattle tend to be more accepting IPLS innovation.
