Shallots are a horticultural commodity with high economic value, but their productivity remains low due to the use of bulbs as planting material, which are susceptible to viral infections. The use of True Shallot Seed (TSS) offers a healthier alternative, but growth and yield still need to be optimized. This study aimed to determine the effects of mycorrhizal biofertilizer and compound NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of TSS red onions. The study was conducted in Ngringo Village, Jaten Subdistrict, Karanganyar Regency, from September 2025 to January 2026. The method used was a two-factor Completely Randomized Block Design (CRBD). The first factor was the dose of mycorrhizal biofertilizer (0; 2.5; 5; and 7.5 g.plant-1), while the second factor was the dose of compound NPK fertilizer (0; 150; 300; and 450 kg.ha-1). There were 16 treatment combinations with three replications. The data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) at the 5% significance level and orthogonal polynomial tests. The results showed that there was  no interaction between mycorrhizal biofertilizer and compound NPK fertilizer on the growth and TSS yield of shallot. The application of mycorrhizal biofertilizer up to 7.5 g/plant increased the fresh weight of the foliage, while the compound NPK fertilizer affected plant height, number of leaves, fresh and dry weights of the foliage, fresh and dry bulb weights, dry bulb weight per plot, and bulb yield.
