This internship report is written based on KMM activities that I conducted online at Pruf Ritz Communications Hub, Surabaya, East Java. This activity took place from January 27, 2025, to April 19, 2025. The objectives of the KMM activities are: 1) to apply my translation knowledge and competencies in translating a Service Agreement document; 2) to improve my skills in editing translated text of the Service Agreement document; and 3) to gain as much insight as possible about the workflow in the translation industry, starting from receiving translation document from the client by the project manager to proofreading. My main activity was translating a legal document in the form of a Service Agreement having approximately 2,900 words. In this activity, I applied the three stages of the translating process, namely analyzing, transferring, and restructuring. During the analyzing and transferring process, I did a literature study to find the meaning, definition, and the translation of words, phrases, terms, and sentences in the Service Agreement document by collecting information from relevant journal articles, dictionaries, e-books, and relevant websites. I applied the translation techniques, namely established equivalent, pure borrowing, and omission, to translate those words, phrases, terms, and sentences. Besides translating a Service Agreement document, I also had an additional activity, that is organizing a seminar and a bazaar with a theme “Artificial Intelligence (AI)”. Overall, these internship activities provided me with valuable and new experiences, especially in translating the Service Agreement document and running a committee activity that I had never done before.
