The analysis of translation quality of conversation sentences in the book of ms wiz entitled in stitches with ms wiz from english into Indonesia

× Abstrak 2007. This research focused on the translation quality of conversation sentences the book of Ms Wiz entitled “In Stitches With Ms Wiz” written by Terence Blacker translated into Indonesian by Mala Suhendra entitled “Tertawa Bersama Ms Wiz” as the source data. This research used descriptive qualitative methods because it would describe the translation quality of conversation sentences in terms of accuracy, acceptability, and readability in the book of Ms Wiz. The data in the form of conversation sentences were taken from the short story of Ms Wiz entitled In Stitches With Ms Wiz and translated into Indonesian. The 44 data were written on a questionnaire to be rated in terms of the accuracy, the acceptability and the readability by three lecturers who have competence in translation study and three secondary students. After analyzing the 44 data, there were some problems appearing and this made the raters give some comments although the translation was revealed accurate. The accuracy level is 2,61 while the acceptability level is 2,55 and 2,54 is as the level of acceptability. It meant that the translation quality the conversation sentences the book of Ms Wiz entitled In Stitches With Ms Wiz was high. Recommendations were reading more and more about translation, this research could be beneficial, and it could be addition information about translation quality.
