Ravandika Putra Pamungkas. O0222112. THE EFFECT OF TRADITIONAL PENCAK SILAT PSHT-BASED HURDLE JUMP (DOWERAN) PHYSICAL TRAINING ON THE INCREASE OF 'A' KICK SPEED IN RAYON SUB KEPOH RANTING COLOMADU CABANG KARANGANYAR. Thesis. Surakarta: Faculty of Sports, Universitas Sebelas Maret, May 2026.The research objective was to determine the effect of traditional pencak silat Persaudaraan Setia Hati Terate (PSHT)-based hurdle jump (doweran) physical training on increasing the speed of the 'A' kick among students in Rayon Sub Kepoh, Ranting Colomadu, Cabang Karanganyar. This study was a quantitative experiment utilizing a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research subject was all male adolescent students in Rayon Sub Kepoh, Ranting Colomadu, Cabang Karanganyar, composed of 15 athletes, selected as the research sample using a total sampling technique (saturated sampling). Techniques of collecting data used were a 15-second kick test that had been tested for validity and reliability.Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and hypothesis testing via the Parametric Paired Samples T-Test using IBM SPSS Statistics software. Data analysis showed that after the 6-week training intervention, there was a highly significant performance improvement percentage of 57.04% (an absolute mean increase of 7.53 kicks), where the mean ability of the students increased from 13.20 kicks during the pretest to 20.73 kicks during the posttest. Based on the Paired Samples T-Test results, a t-value of -12.019 was obtained with a significance value Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000, which means the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was highly significantly accepted. The result of the data analysis shows that traditional pencak silat PSHT-based hurdle jump (doweran) physical training has a significant and effective influence on improving the speed of the 'A' kick among students in Rayon Sub Kepoh Ranting Colomadu Cabang Karanganyar. Keywords: Hurdle jump, doweran, speed, A kick, pencak silat, PSHT.
